Alvis to the fore at DVCA

TWO beautiful examples of the famous British marque Alvis are due to feature among the most eye-catching early entries for Dorset Vintage and Classic Auctions’ next sale.

A green 1948 Alvis TA14 drophead coupe (pictured above), which has had one owner since 1962, has covered just 78,871 miles and carries a guide price of £5,000 to £6,000.

The other one is a black 1947 Alvis TA14 saloon by Mulliners (below). This car has done 70,000 miles, has had one owner since 1958 and comes with a pre-sale estimate of £4,000 to £5,000.

The sale takes place on June 8 at Athelhampton House, near Dorchester, Dorset.
