A SMART, well-cared-for Jaguar E-Type Series III 2+2 Auto fixedhead coupé of 1972 vintage heads the line-up at Dorset Vintage and Classic Auctions’ early autumn sale on Thursday September 8. It is guided at £37,500 to £40,000.
Held in the stunning gardens of Athelhampton House, near Dorchester, the auction will offer an eclectic mix of classic cars, vintage motorcycles and historic commercials.
An immaculate Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II will complement the Jaguar, and an extensively restored 1963 Wolseley 1500 Mk III should suit the discerning classic lover.
Morris Minor fans will be well catered for by an early 1956 Series II two-door saloon, a restored 1968 Minor 1000 Traveller, as well as a 1972 Austin Minor van.
DVCA will also offer four perennially popular MGs – two B Roadsters and a Midget that are all in good order, and a rare B GT V8 that does require some restoration.
Other mid-20th century classics include a 1963 Rover P4 95 Saloon, a 1964 Vanden Plas Princess 3-litre Mk II saloon and a 1965 Bedford TK ‘200’ Dropside Lorry.
A 1923 Royal Ruby Tricycle replica and a fully original 1928 Renault NN1 Torpedo Commerciale both enhance the selection of vehicles, and for motorcycle enthusiasts, an AJS, a Douglas and a Velocette are sure to please.
