THE marquee was packed for Dorset Vintage and Classic Auctions’ historic vehicle sale, at Athelhampton House, near Dorchester.
Enthusiasts from the UK and abroad were drawn to an array of cars, motorcycles and automobilia.
The list was headed by a 1959 Triumph TR3A, in its current ownership for 45 years and with competition history, which made £24,750.
A 1978 Dax Tojeiro Jaguar V12 Cobra Replica Auto sold to a local enthusiast for £19,800 and an immaculate 1970 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow I was bought for £12,760.
A striking 1957 Ford Consul Mk II saloon sold to a retro enthusiast for £6,600 and a 1955 Wolseley 4/44 found a new home with a collector in Cornwall for £4,400.
Interest in Minis continued with two early examples, both with good histories and in need of major restoration, achieving £2,035 and £2,200. A modern classic 1998 BMW 840Ci Sport made £6,820 and found a new home in Scotland.
Among other notable results, part of a private collection of unusual Italian motorcycles found new custodians, including a 1954 Pokerino 50 and a 1972 Motori Franco 50 Foldaway, again requiring refurbishment and achieving £649 and £561 respectively.
DVCA is now accepting entries for its autumn sale on September 8.
