SOME of the early entries for the Dorset Vintage and Classic Auctions’ spring sale on March 3 have been announced.
For lovers of pre-war motors, DVCA will offer a smart 1926 Ford Model ‘T’ Touring (guide: £12,000 – £14,000) which has been in the present ownership for nearly 20 years and has participated in various local runs and rallies, having been a past concours award winner.
Coming from a loving home, a Hillman 20/70 De Luxe Saloon is a very rare survivor from 1935; in lovely, original condition, the car is very usable in saloon form with an interesting history of local war service and has an estimate of £13,000 – £15,000.
For those preferring their transport to be more agricultural, a splendid 1947 Massey Ferguson TE Continental has been the subject of a careful restoration and has a guide price of £2,000 – £3,000.
Motorcycle entries are currently headed up by a superbly restored, show condition 1970 Triumph T120 Bonneville (£10,000 – £11,000) that has had much time and money lavished on it, and a 2005 Harley-Davidson FXSTI Softail 1450cc (£7,000 – £8,000), resplendent in electric blue.
