THERE are some eye-catching cars coming under the hammer when Dorset Vintage & Classic Auctions hold their autumn sale at Athelhampton House, near Dorchester, on October 15.
A smart bright red 1976 Lotus Eclat 521, with right-hand drive and a manual gearbox, and with just 58,600 miles on the clock, is estimated at between £4,000 and £5,000.
A Morgan dating from 1989, also with manual transmission and with 54,000 miles under its belt, has a pre-sale estimate of £15,000 to £20,000.
And if you’re looking for something really different, there is a 1929 Rolls-Royce 20hp two-door Weymann close-coupled saloon by Freestone and Webb. This one is expected to sell for between £35,000 and £45,000.
