The Aston Martin Owners Club held its annual spring concours event on Sunday, with support from Aston Martin Works. The annual gathering of Aston Martin owners was this year staged in the elegant grounds of Woburn Abbey in Bedfordshire, just a few miles from the historic home of Aston Martin in Newport Pagnell.
The atmosphere will be especially highly charged at this year’s Wörthersee Tour festival because it will play host to an Audi TT clubsport turbo concept delivering a colossal 600PS and 650Nm with the help of an innovative electrically driven biturbo compressor that is close to being production ready.
A rare example of Aston Martin’s first-ever luxury four-seat touring car is to be offered at Silverstone Auctions’ sale on Saturday May 23. The 1937 Aston Martin 15/98 2L Long Chassis Tourer was built on May 31, 1937, and eventually registered on March 25, 1939. It was first sold for just £575. Now almost 80 years old, the car is estimated to sell for between £160,000 and £190,000 when it goes under the hammer at Silverstone circuit.
