A COLOURFUL collection of over 140 smart cars brightened up the Beaulieu Arena in the grounds of the National Motor Museum for the fourth annual Simply Smart rally.
All smart car owners were invited to drive their quirky motors to Beaulieu, display their vehicles in its picturesque parkland, and enjoy all the delights of the attraction.
Events co-ordinator Charlotte Mountain said: “This hugely popular event always features an eclectic mix of smart cars in a fantastic range of colours. Simply Smart always proves what a huge following these small cars have.”
A wonderful variety of models were on show, from the iconic smart fortwo model, together with some of the marque’s quirkier variants, such as the sporty roadster, Brabus, 451, the family forfour and even the roofless, limited edition crossblade.
This event was well supported by a number of owners’ clubs and SmartManiac forum members.
Visitors were given the opportunity to vote for their favourite car on display in the People’s Choice Award. The winner was Rob Hoyle from Uxbridge, with his smart fortwo passion.
