(Picture is not the actual car)
AFTER a few months of rental cars to tide me over after having my Vauxhall Cavalier stolen, I took delivery of a shiny new company car in late 1992 or early 1993.
I had chosen the Toyota Carina E after considerable research and I have to confess that, while it was perhaps not the most exciting new car on the road at the time, it was superbly reliable in every way.
Mine was a white four-door saloon with a boot rather than a hatchback, and its registration number was K96TRU.
Car reliability being more important to me than any other quality at that period, when the time came to change it, I got another Carina.
