Motor Mouth’s Car of the week: Kia Venga

Sensible, practical, excellent value . . . all good sound reasons to buy Kia’s all-new mini-MPV, though none likely to set the pulse racing.

The Venga, presumably not named in honour of Arsenal Football Club’s manager, has bags of space cleverly installed in a small package. It comes with a choice of 1.4 or 1.6 petrol and diesel engines and built-in peace of mind with Kia’s amazing seven-year warranty.

Manufactured in Europe, all models have trendy start-stop fuel-saving technology and come loaded with a range of gadgetry that is becoming standard issue on new models.

MM verdict: Yawn-inducing but financially so sensible.
