Ford’s all-new two-model C-MAX range means we have to learn yet another motoring acronym: after the SUV and the MPV, ladies and gentlemen, we present . . . the MAV. It stands for Multi-Activity Vehicle.
The big brother is the seven-seat Grand C-MAX, with twin sliding doors, while the smaller variant has five seats and is said to be pretty sporty to drive.
They come loaded with tricks, too, such as a semi-automatic parallel parking facility, blindspot detection and a powered tailgate operation.
Both versions of the C-MAX will be in the showrooms by late 2010.
MM verdict: another OOW (Odds-On Winner) from the BO (Blue Oval).
