The very fact that this third generation of the compact Verso MPV is built by Toyota pretty much guarantees decent build quality, superb reliability and up-to-the-minute specification.
It is Toyota’s misfortune that the reputation it has forged for so many good things has brought with it an unkind perception in some quarters that its cars are, well, not to put too fine a point on it, rather boring.
Not true, not kind and this new seven-seater – with more power, more space, better fuel consumption and lower emissions – is another winner. It comes with a choice of two petrol and two diesel engines.
MM verdict: A car for our times.
