The second generation of hybrid power technology from Lexus is being trumpeted at the first successful dovetailing of high performance with the expected benefits of low emissions and good fuel economy.
This new-generation four-wheel-drive model will be an all-hybrid range, succeeding the RX 400h hybrid and also replacing the RX 350 petrol engine model.
It is fitted with a 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine, boasts a 10 per cent increase in power, a formidable 28 per cent improvement in fuel economy to 44.8mpg and hits UK showrooms this summer. It also looks pretty.
MM verdict: Refinement with a conscience.
