Beats me how Fiat can include the word ‘streamlined’ amid the avalanche of adjectives they’re attaching to this interesting cross between a manoeuvrable supermini and a roomy MPV.
To my eyes, it’s as graceful as a garden shed and the name Qubo, apparently a play on the word ‘cube’, seems to acknowledge as much. But Fiat’s latest model has much to commend it – masses of glass, sliding rear doors, room for five and good economy.
There’s a choice of four morphs featuring 1.4-litre petrol or 1.3-litre diesel engines, lively performance, on-the-road prices starting well south of £10k and a range of colours that Fiat are calling funky.
MM verdict: Fiat continue their happy knack of capturing the public mood.
